Debbie is an incredible psychologist in the Te Puaruruhau team. She is passionate, energetic, enthusiastic and very hardworking. She always goes above and beyond to support the most vulnerable. Debbie is kind and caring – always thinking of her colleagues. Debbie’s talents are well recognised by other teams within Auckland DHB who we work closely with. A psychologist within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service wrote to us “recently Debbie presented at our Auckland Infant Health Association meeting and gave an informative and engaging presentation. Her knowledge and understanding was wide ranging, and she was clearly passionate and very thoughtful of ways in which to work with families and caregivers of children who have experienced trauma. Debbie talks about each child with a keen clinical understanding and a hugely compassionate heart. She takes the time to see each child as an individual and it is clear that she has done her utmost to win their trust and understand their perspective. She is passionate about advocating for the particular needs of each of the children and uncompromising about the need for services and care teams to meet these needs.” We are so fortunate to have such a skilled and experienced psychologist, and caring person as part of our team.
